Daimler Benz Museum

A complicated structure with a name ‘Daimler Benz Museum’ and we rush inside since our face and nose were almost frozen in the cold, with a dripping nose we went to the counter and said we work for Daimler and they asked us our last names and then came free tickets for the museum, we took the audio tour and collecting equipments went to the first floor, as you get on the lift the engine sound welcomes you to the world of BENZ. A horse is seen as the first piece in the museum and the story of how a man evolved into making cycles, small locomotives and then train, trucks and cars with the engine sound at the background.

We keep traversing passing from smaller locomotives to big buses and trains and air planes as we read the history dated to time such as world wars and how Germany lost its power and the factory burns down , the inflating economy  and the coming back of the Benz , way back in the 18th century Daimler and Karl Benz and William Maybach the story weaves on how they meet and the design of the automobile. There are photo points at each floor and the audio tour in English really helps!! We came to a point on how the symbol of Benz staged until it finally became a three pointed star circling inside. The simulation on the museum was looking like a giant robot , it’s a dark room where the feeling of riding cars at top speeds drives you crazy. It was the most coldest Sunday during my stay in Germany and from the cars in Titanic uptil sporty looks and then we land on the restaurant where you can happily walk with a souvenier a tag with 'Daimler Benz Museum' which you can wear around your neck with some Id hanging at the end of it.

Happy Benz ing!!! To Visit: http://www.mercedes-benz-classic.com/content/classic/mpc/mpc_classic_website/en/mpc_home/mbc/home/museum/information.html
